Prepaid mobile broadband

Hello all,

I'm going to be visiting the States in a couple months. I was wondering if I can purchase a mobile broadband stick from virgin mobile and activate it. I would purchase the stick when I get into to the U.S.

I could teather my iPhone, but the roaming data cost would be too much.

So I guess my ultimate question would be: can a non resident activate a pre-aid cell phone?

I did. Not with mobile broadband but I activated 2 $10 phones from Virgin when visting Florida last month. No problems. I also activated a mobile broadband card on 3 while visiting the UK last summer, also without issue. Shouldn't be a problem.

I don't think mac is supported by virgin mobile.

You might want to know that mac is not supported by virgin mobile.

Sorry ... I just checked the site,and it does work now. I would have been using my PC this whole time!
