Prepaid Sim Card?

Hi I'm going on a trip to Italy in about a Month and I'm trying to summon up ways to use my phone overseas to the US. Is it possibly to unlock my iphone and put in a tmobile prepaid sim in there? Thanks

Yes it is entirely possible if you do manage to unlock it.

Probably wouldn't want to if you could. Roaming wouldn't be cheap.

Buy a prepaid sim at your destination, there would be no roaming fees. There should be a shop at the airport which will set you up with a prepaid sim for Italy. Just make sure the phone is unlocked prior to getting the sim.
