Hi so I am getting an older macbook ready to be sold and am trying to figure out how to reset it so that set up utility and welcome screens run the next time it is booted up. I have already done an erase and install of Snow Leopard but I didn't want to hand over the machine with it super out of date software wise so I made a temporary account and installed the latest ilife and software updates. Now I want to delete the account so that the machine is "factory fresh" when it is next started up.

I found a little bit of information on this online but everything I have found is for older versions of Mac OS X (10.4 or 10.5). Here is what I found

would these instructions work fine on 10.6?

- Thanks
