"Preparing for Shipment" How long does that take?

I woke up this morning to find that my phone (iPhone 7 Plus Jet Black AT&T 128GB) finally changed to "Preparing for Shipment", anybody know about how long it will be in that stage? How long was it "preparing for shipment" for you? I am hoping it will ship in the next couple days, it is still estimated for 1-2 Weeks. Any thoughts?
 
what was your projected "delivery date" window when you placed the order? i have a oct4-10 delivery window but still "processing"

Preparing for shipment usually takes 24-72 hours
 
Mine changed to preparing to ship and my card got charged! Anyone know how long until it changes? Shouldn't it change to shipped because I was charged?
 
Mine went preparing for shipment yesterday, with delivery for 27- 29 hoping for an earlier delivery though.

14 hours for me. 2pm yesterday I got preparing to ship. Then shipping label (saw via ups mychoice) was created at 4am. "Shipped" appeared shortly after.

32gb black +, orig shipping of sept 27-29. Ordered at :14.

How did you look it up on UPS my choice?
 
My estimated shipping is Sep 30th-Oct 13th, but status changed to 'Preparing for Shipment' yesterday. That's quite early with such a far-away estimated shipping date, isn't it? Would be so nice if it gets sent this week...hard not to get my hopes up...:oops:

Mine changed to shipped and will be here Tuesday! mine changed from processing to preparing to ship on Thursday and now it's shipped today (Saturday) so it shouldn't take long for yours to change again :) good luck everyone
 
Mine went to PFS around 1pm Thursday and I got my tracking info around midnight the same day...Just found out the phone is in my hometown now!
 
Mine said "Preparing for shipment" all the way till Thursday. Even though i was tracking it with UPS and seeing that it was clearly 'shipped' and on the move.

Does this still apply if Billing and is different from my choice account?
 
Shipped as of this morning, for delivery on Tuesday!!! That's only 4 days after release day, not bad at all!!
