My order status for an iPhone 5S 64GB white and gold shifted from processing order to preparing for shipment.

I ordered during the first hour of availability from the online store.

Anyone else? Does anyone know about how long it takes once it gets to the "preparing for shipment" status?
 
It depends, some people it's been 8 hours or so, some it's been a few days.
My order stayed at preparing from Monday untill yesterday.

when I got my e-mail from Apple, it said "thank you for your order", and it lists items ordered; in my case the phone and apple care plus.

The order number in the upper right of the e-mail in the greyed out area hyperlinks to a web page in your browser showing current order status. It said "processing order" until a few hours ago. Now it reads "Preparing for Shipment"

Order confirmation number and last name on account can be entered in preorder website for status on your order.... If you ordered online you should have this information..

Are you like me?? I check status on my order like 15 to 20 times a day lol

The 5s did not preorder, but anyway I know how to check status, I was wondering if they send you an email about every status change or are you just checking every hour?
 
What date does it say as the purchase date on the apple receipt when you actually get your phone?

I wouldn't be happy if it said 20th September when I didn't get the phone until say 20th October your losing a months warranty.

The more I read on this forum, the happier I am that I went with space grey. You ordered within the first hour of availability and STILL havent recived a phone? I ordered a space grey in the first 10 minutes and had it 3 days later.

This is the thread for people that ordered white and gold phones the first few hours of availability from the Apple online store and were advised of a shipping time of "sometime in October" and have been stuck on "processing items" since
September 20th.
 
Not preparing for shipment

Cant find my e-mail but I think mine was Order No. 9,000,000 :eek:

Never known a launch where people can walk in off the street and get a phone while others who followed ordering procedure in the 1st hour of availability are left guessing and wondering if they should wait for iPhone6 or maybe if Samsungs are all that bad .....?? ( Just kidding :) )

Go on about your business if you have nothing relevant to the subject to add here. I haven't created many threads since I've been a member, so it's obviously not an attention grabber on my part.

This topic is already discussed in the thread to which I linked.

I thought it was a new issue when I clicked on the thread, not a personal issue affecting only one member.

If everyone started a thread when their iPhone was preparing for shipment, there would be over 10,000,000 identical threads spamming the forum.

Yes your right the 5S did not preorder, however.. If you see the attached order status website from verizon it mentions "preorder" and I said it purposely so you knew which website I was referring to. In my case with VZW.

You have the tools to check the status of your order every min, hour, day, week or however frequently you desire.
