"Preparing for Shipment"?

While I am an avid Apple user, this is my first time doing an online pre order, when does the status usually change to prepared? How long before the Friday of release in your past experience? I know these usually ship out of China.

It depends, if they're coming from China, they'll ship the week before. If they're coming from local distribution centres, they'll ship a couple days before.

Some are pre staged locally but for the most part a couple three days before launch for initial batch. Some will get and some will not.

The thing is that we didnt hear any stories about shipments of watches coming in from China unlike the iPhone. So all deliveries should start coming in for china over the next 10 days for the first batch of deliveries
