Going on a Mediterranean cruise and will be taking my iPhone 4 with; as well as an iPad. Don’t want/need to use the iPhone 4 for phone communication. as I will probably purchase a cheap phone once over there. Wondering what is the safest way to tweak the iPhone and iPad so as not to incur any accidental or unexpected charges. I know that I can turn “3G” of as well as “Cellular Data” and “Roaming”. Will this do the trick?
Is removing the simm cards an option?

Just don’t want to return to Canada and discover that I have incurred some major charges from my phone provider!
