I'm selling my macbook and need to prep it for sale. I have reinstalled my operating system. Is this all I need to do to protect my data or should I be buying software to over right the drive? then reinstall the OS one more time? If i need software what would you suggest?

Thanks

No extra software needed. If you are worried about data protection, re-install the OS but before doing so in look at Disk Utility on the OS DVD. There should be an option to erase the disk and if you click options (I'm not sure of the wording but it's there) it will give you the option of government standard erasing. I think it writes zeros to the disk 7 times... it also has the option to just do it once.
