IMG_5990.JPG so I'm about to clean iPhone 6 to sell and my screen starts doing this any ideas? No it did not get wet

What were you cleaning it with? Certain cleaners have been known to react with the glass coating. I've had this happen on my MacBook before. It goes away on its own.

I hadn't used any cleaner on it yet. Was wiping the screen off with a micro fiber cloth when I noticed it. It looks like it's under the glass so far has not gone away

Is it just the angle? Could it be worn away oleophobic coating in the glass? Does it correspond in an way to the way you use the phone?

No it's not the coating. It's definitely coming from behind. It does not manipulate in any way when you touch it. It doesn't affect the touch sensor because everything else works just fine. I've had iPhone since day 1 of the original and I've never seen anything like it before

I'm sure I can still get a couple hundred on eBay. But no where near what I would have gotten

This is why i always use a tempered glass screen protector even though everyone keeps saying its not needed. Its a 700+ dollar investment, I'm gonna protect it at all costs.

That's the thing. It's not water damage. And it's not cracks or anything it's definitely somthing internal

Just be careful who replaces the screen. Even some Apple refurbs, I had seen with a display that is not perfectly lined up and with a 1 mm gap between the screen and the body which as a result creates a sharp, instead of the smooth edge.
