I have decided to buy an iPad2 this week (please dont bring out the iPad 3 in a few weeks Apple else I might cry).
I'm going through my photos and preparing them in folders/albums ready to sync to the iPad when I get it, (I have a windows laptop so no iPhoto to do it all for me unfortunately).
Basically to save me wasting time I have a few questions, will iTunes resize/downscale large photos when I sync, or should I batch convert them all now in preparation. My dad has a DSLR camera and the photos are all 3888*2592 and are all between 3-5MB each, so will obviously guzzle my iPads memory, and on a screen the size of the iPads this size is completely unnecessary. This brings me on to question #2, if I do need to resize manually what is the sort of optimum size, as if I downsize to the iPads resolution then photos will look bad when zoomed, but too big is a space waster.
Lastly, i know the iPad can sort photos by Face, Event etc, as i've seen it in the apple shop. However I think I read somewhere that this can only be done when synced from iPhoto on a Mac. Is there any workaround or manual method of allocating faces and events to photos on windows so that they can appear this way on the iPad.
Also anything else I should know about organising the photos (best folder structure etc) to make sure they all sync properly.

Sorry for such a long post, just want to make sure I prepare everything properly so that I can get my photos on it nicely, as one of the main uses I want the iPad for is to use it as a digital photo frame.
Thanks to any replies
