Preparing to sell 3G, Suggestions?

I found someone on CL that wants to purchase my white 3G iPhone. Does anyone have suggestions on what all I should do before giving the phone to him such as making sure all my information is off the phone. Should simply restoring the phone cover everything? Also what should I do about the SIM card? I am receiving in iPhone 4 so won't be needing it but should I keep it in the phone for the purchaser? Any other tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I restored mine to factory settings and to 3.1.3. I left the sim card in there because I had my iPhone 4 and the iPhone 3G sim card was no longer activated.
