A while back, as an experiment, I got myself a 13" base model MBP. Turns out I should have just bought the 15" model because the 13" left me wanting more. So, I made another purchase, ordered the 15" base model and that leaves me with the 13" so, no point in having two, so I am going to pass the 13" over to my mom :)

I did a google search and I guess I used the wrong phrases or something but it kept giving me responses for 09 MBPs with install disc.

So, I need to backup the few documents I got on the computer.
de authorize itunes
restore the MBP to factory settings
Then hand the machine over to my mom

To do this, do I just grab the lion recovery assistant, my blank thumb drive and follow instructions? Am I missing anything?

EDIT: this 13" MBP is Stock. Original HDD and ram in it.

Edit:

Guess I was searching the wrong terms. Looks like lion recovery is all I need.
