Is there any indication as to whether my phone is about to ship?

Rose Gold 32gb 7+ with AT&T

Original ship dates Oct 18-31st.

Changed to preparing to ship today.

is this wishful thinking, or do they like to mess with us? Yes, I know I just ordered yesterday, but this is a pretty common/standard phone (not a JB or MB)

So much truth!! We are going on vacation on October 9th, so I was hoping to have it before then, but wasn't holding my breath...until the status just changed! I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas to come!

Not true. Mine has been in preparing to ship since Friday night/Saturday morning and it still hasn't shipped.

I'm assuming they are meaning 3 business days.

I'm in the same boat but for a JB 7+ ATT 128GB, status changed from processing to PFS on Sunday and has remained the same.

Fringe case. Most are shipping sooner, or around that time. Either way, no point sweating it.

I wouldn't say exactly fringe. There are more than a few people in the same PFS boat as I am.

I ordered mine 9/9. Estimated delivery is 9/23-9/30. It's been "preparing to ship" since 9/9. :\
