Preperation to install Tiger 10.4

i just bought OS X Tiger and was about to install it. is there anything i should do before i install it? i wanted to clean out my system or something. i was thinking of clearing my ram and doing a defragmentation - but i don't know how to do it since i am still pretty new to mac.
