I am thinking about selling my launch day iphone 3gs (32g).. Im running JB 3.1.2 and its JB'd and unlocked.. Now since it is not a teathered JB i think i can get top dollar for it still.. So i did a lil research about how to wipe my data off and keep the current JB and unlocked status.. So my question is are these the correct steps? im a lil nervous to do this so im coming here for direction..

This page is from 2008 and i wanted to see if there is a better way or if this way wouldnt work...

I wouldn't restore personaly. I'm unaware of a way to get 3.1.2 back on a 3GS after a restore.

I would plug it into iTunes and sync it with your computer and just unchecked EVERYTHING. Then delete your contacts, mail accounts, SMS, ect.

There you would have a essientialy restored iPhone.
