Preserving AU Sampler Files during Clean Install

Hi,

I will be doing a clean install of the OS on my Mac to resolve some ongoing issues. I currently use the AU Sampler a lot in GarageBand, and I'm realizing all my samples will be gone when I start fresh. Does anyone know of a way for me to save those sampler files (presets) so I can put them back in GarageBand after my clean install? Otherwise I fear many of my projects will be lost. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do you know where those files are stored?
If you can locate them, copy them to a USB flashdrive, external hard drive, etc.
Then replace them after the install...
