Hey guys, I'm looking for some help preserving my iPhoto '06 library.
I'm finally making the upgrade from OS X 10.4.11 (Tiger) to Snow Leopard on my iMac 5,1. I currently have iLife '06 installed on my iMac, iPhoto is the only application that I care about preserving my library information from - I have ~ 8,000 photos, all of which have keywords and are sorted into albums, along with a few books/calendars.
Normally I would presume that dragging my iPhoto library to an external hard-drive and back again following the clean install of Snow Leopard would work, preserving all my keywords/albums. However, as a Tiger user (and therefore purchaser of a Mac Box Set), I'm also upgrading from iLife '06 at the same time. Is my best bet to just install iLife '09 and then replace the iPhoto library or will this cause compatibility issues? Should I in fact re-install iPhoto '06 following Snow Leopard installation, replace my library and then upgrade iLife '06 to iLife '09?
Also, are there any .plist files or other such-like I should take care to back-up?
Thanks!
