1750 The BBC's Peter Hunt says: President Obama has given the Queen an Ipod during their private meeting at Buckingham Palace. It contains footage of her state visit to the US in May 2007. The Queen has given the president a silver framed photograph of herself and her husband. The official picture is what she gives all visiting dignitaries.

Are you suggesting that Bazza would give Lizzie a cheap model? :D

I'm guessing an iPod Touch..She can watch the BBC better on that one. Which brings me to this.

Are the BBC playing an April Fool's joke with the flash player? It goes to eleven just like Spinal Tap.

She already had a iPod, I believe it was a mini though so it was well time for an upgrade.

The iPlayer has gone to 11 for a long long time.

Ten is just so last year ;-)

Yea its been a jolly 11 since it was introduced. God I love the BBC, sometimes.

Can I have an iPod, Obama? I have an 80gb 5.5g but need a touch or nano for running. PM for address and gratitude.

These gifts are so dumb. He definitely doesn't want a framed picture of her, and she can buy an iPod if she wants one. The DVD thing was practically an international incident - and for what?

Its more of a sign of peace then anything. I shudder to think what would have happened if he handed her a zune....
:p

What he gave her was a US product that was made and designed with US intellectual property! He gave the teacher an APPLE! Very symbolic as are all "State" gifts.

Think about about it.

With all respects, Yes, it is a US company and product, but Jonathan Ive, the principal designer of the iPod is British, and it was made in China!

Sorry to be fineky...

Why the hell do people even bother scrutinizing all these stupid things? Concentrate on the major issues and forget about the silly gifts..
