Hi,
I have a wireless Brother MFC-495CW printer. I have some documents I want to scan so I can rework and update them. There are quite a few. I found my installation disk and it has Presto Page Manager on it which is supposed to do what I want. Sadly, it is not recognizing the scanner it was bundled with. I tried to select the source and it seems to do that fine but when I try to acquire I get the message it failed to connect. I need to check the I/F cable between the two devices. Then am told there is no scanner installed.
I have tried manually turning on the scanner, loading up the scanner from System Preferences.
I have a MacBook Pro with OS X10.6.8 installed. How do I get the program to recognize the scanner. I cannot even find a printer port on the printer to connect directly. If it is there it is not obvious
Thanks,
mary
