Daughter drove for the first time today, and I recorded it.

I went to trim it into segments to send family through MMS, and like an *******, with all of the kids in my ear, I hit "trim original video", or whatever.

I've tried data recovery but it doesn't recover trimmed portions, only deleted vides.

It was my error, but it pisses me off that Apple doesn't allow it to be undone, or at least have a pop up that says "are you sure you want to destroy your memories".

If anyone has a way to fix this, please let me know. I put everything on hold today and have been googling and trying for the last 5 hours, so I'm at a wall now.

Thanks for any help...

When you edit photos, they save under a different name than the original. Maybe it is the same with videos; have you checked to see if there's two vids with similar names in your photoroll or whatever it's called for videos?
