Prevent Aperture Filmstrip From Showing in Fullscreen Mode

How do I do this?

If I am editing a picture at the bottom the filmstrip annoyingly pops up, even if the thumbnail setting is low on my 24 inch display.

NB locking it to place or moving it to the side of the screen is preferably not an option!
