Preventing iTunes match from downloading music

So I've done some pretty extensive searching, but it seems that there really isn't a general answer. Is it possible to stop my iPhone from actually downloading the music when I listen to it?

My problem is this. If I start a song, it will download, but when the second song begins, it stutters and buffers because the previous song is still downloading. It very frustrating.

Anything in cydia to prevent song from downloading and just stream?

iTunes Match is not a streaming service. It's supposed to download them.
