I have had a huge problem in my home office with static shocks every time I touch my Imac. I am on synthetic carpet with a plastic chair mat. Probably the worst combination possible for generating static.

They were bad enough to make itunes malfunction at times.

Solution: Rub down the chair mat with a bounce sheet, did the seat of the chair too. repeat as needed.

To easy! hope it helps the static charged individuals among you.:D
