Whenever I use Preview to view pdf files on my iBook I have to hit the 'zoom in' icon three times to make for comfortable reading. Can Preview be configured to 'zoom in' automatically when opening a pdf file?

Yes.

Select Safari > Preferences.

Click the PDF tab.

Click the Use scale of: button.

Choose iTwitch comfort from the popup menu.

???????????

I don't usually use Safari, but I launched it and found no PDF tab in the prefs?

Preview, on the other hand, does have a PDF tab under prefs. But... setting the 'Use scale of:' doesn't seem to have any effect.
