Preview and TextEdit crashing

Anyone having trouble with Preview and TextEdit? They just won't start and keep crashing. This is my crash report for Preview:

EDIT:

Found out it was a problem with the ~/Downloads folder being symlinked.
To fix it, delete the link and start Preview/TextEdit once. This will generate a new Downloads folder.
Then delete this new folder and create the symlink again.
