I am just opening a normal pdf file using Preview in Snow Leopard 10.6.6 with high end 2011 15" MBP, and instantly the fans ramp up, the CPU jumps to 80 degrees celcius. The monitoring shows about %800 CPU usage for Preview application. Opening the same file with Adobe Acrobat doesn't yield any problems.

Has anyone experienced this kind of behavior with Preview? Is this a known bug in the program?

UPDATE: Wow this is a little curious. It happens only with a certain file - a Technical Support pdf that came with a legit installation of Call of Duty 4 for Mac. Does this mean it's a problem with the file? I've checked other pdfs in Preview, it doesn't cause a problem. I think it seems that Preview is having a pretty hard time reading that certain file.. Definitely weird, though.
