preview hangs while opening files

Hi team,

I have been searching to solve my problem but so far to no avail.

Some days ago I opened some 8 files in preview and at the end of the day I quit preview. Now every time I try to launch preview, it tries to open those 7 files and it hangs with the busy mouse pointer forever. I have disabled applications from opening the last opened files but this did not help. Currently I am unable to use preview at all.

I wonder if anyone had a similar issue like mine.

My current OS is Mountain Lion
