Preview issues with 10.5.6 update and attached PDFs

Hello,

Has any one encountered issues with Preview since the recent update? I can't open up PDF's attached to emails. It gives a warning dialog that this PDF was attached to an email, and asks to open or cancel. I click open and nothing. I have even downloaded the item, but preview seems to remember the item arrived with an email and still won't open. Anybody else see this.
