I have received via e-mail attachment a PDF obituary of my great grandfather. Beyond the obituary itself, the newspaper archive that sent it included it attached to instruction on how to navigate this newspapers archieves and instructions on editing the PDF attachment. These instructions do not seem to be connected to an operable program; I cannot activate anything to do any editing from this email. I do have Adobe Acrobat, but I do not understand how to get this email into it to do any editing. I do have Preview, which I understand is suppose to be able to edit PDF documents. But, again, I do not understand how to get the email into Preview to do that. Would anyone provide instructions or aim me at some reference in YouTube, here, or any where that would instruct me? Thank you!

1. Save the PDF attachment in same place, e.g. in Documents on your Mac.
2. Switch to the Finder, open Documents, and double-click the PDF you just saved.
3. Opens either in Acrobat or Preview.
4. Check wether you can write in any of the provided text entry fields.

4a. If you find that in Preview you can not edit the PDF, switch again to the Documents folder and right click (or hold control while clicking with the mouse) on the saved PDF. Choose »Open with…« from the pop-up which appears, and select Acrobat and try there.

5. Do not forget to save/export as PDF.
