Preview won't open desktop pictures, docs, nothing

Ok, i think this is an issue with icloud drive. Has to be. Nothing on my desktop opens.

However, if i restart the computer it will then work but after a time will stop working. Anyone know what is going on? or how i can fix this?

You can try the steps below to isolate if there's a problem with your Mac Preview.

1. Quit Preview (if you see it’s open in the Dock)
2. Open the Finder app
3. Choose the Go Menu
4. Select Go to Folder
5. Type in this location: ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Preview.plist
6. Move this file either to your Desktop or to the Trash to isolate it
7. Restart your computer
8. Try opening Preview again
