iPhone Previously saved as favorites not going away on maps

Hello, I favorited a place and now that I have unfavorited it (been 2 weeks now) it won't go away when zooming around in Maps, it's bolded and always shows even though it's not added to my favorites anymore. I have reset all my devices, checked to see if it is favorited elsewhere (MacBook, iPad) and it's not. Does this mean we just have to be careful when favoriting a place otherwise there is a chance it will always stand out when zooming around in maps?
