Says still working smoothly.

I will use some word, web surfing, watching stream video, picture and video editing for home use.

I have a 21.5 inch 3.06 c2d and it works beautifully for what you are talking about plus a VM and a few other things. I wouldn't sell it for less than $700. So if that 27 in is in good shape it sounds like a great price.
 
As a starting point, you can check Mac2Sell, eBay (including completed sales), or Amazon for prices of similar models, to get an idea of what a reasonable price may be. Then adjust the price to account for condition, configuration, remaining AppleCare coverage (if any), etc.

Its a quad-core, and its a 27 inch screen. If its fully functional, no glitches, its a good price. You can upgrade the ram, upgrade/add a SSD for a boot drive, and it will sail through what you need out of it for a few years yet
