Price changes, etc. before the end of the year?

Unfortunately I absolutely can't put off buying the new mac until Feb. or whenever as I have to have it for class starting in January. However I was thinking of ordering it now, especially so I can start maybe doing some side editing. Do you think that we'll see any price reductions by year's end that may make it a wiser idea to wait?
