I'm just curious about going from an iPhone 5S and a iPhone 5 to 2 iPhone 6's.

What kind of added price difference is there, I don't quite understand how it works.

I usually would buy the iPhones for $199-$299 respectively and do the 2 year contract.

You should be able to see the monthly cost on your providers web site.

Here's AT&T. Just select the size you want and the next term (12 vs 18 months) and there's your monthly costs per phone.

Note, that's assuming you're already off contract and on a family share plan. My plan has a $40/month per phone cost for a subsidized phone vs. $15 for an off contract or next phone, so an iPhone 6 16GB on a next 18 plan would be $15 + $27.09 = $42.09/month.
