Price drop in previous 15" model?

Called my Apple store and they told me the previous generation MBP would still sell for $2,499 vs $1,999 for a similarly equipped "new" generation MBP.

This seems crazy to me. Has there been any info if the prior models would see a price drop while the new models make their way to stores?

well they are of course stopping production on them. so the ones you are going to find are probably either refurb or a customer that needs a 15" with express slot and doesnt mind spending the money.
