I hope to be pleasantly surprised, but I don't expect a "significant" improvement in battery life.

That's what I was going for, noticeable might have been a better choice than significant. If Ivy Bridge could squeeze out an extra hour, that would be a pleasant bonus but per Apple's own specs the run time is still pegged at 7 hours.
