$90 isn't a bad price for a SSD. $180 is a little pricey for 8gb of RAM, but far better than the previous $400 option.

There is no price drop on the SSD. The upgrade costs less because you are upgrading from a pricier (higher capacity) 750GB HD instead of the 500GB HD. The 512GB SSD upgrade still costs $1100 from Apple, when you can buy the same drive on eBay for about $900.
