price for MBP

My wife and I both both have Macbook Airs, and our daughters now want Apples as they can't stand PCs. Is $550 a good price for a late-2009 MBP with 250 gb HD and 4 gb RAM??? The seller says it runs fine & no damage. Would mostly be used for homework and internet. Thanks for the input.
