Just ordered my M4 Max Mac Studio and just wanted to note that there is a price increase if you plan on getting the 64gb memory.

I was looking at the M2 Max Mac Studio configuration just a few days ago and had it configured with the bumped up chip (38core gpu) and 64gb memory and 1tb ssd and price was 3750 CAD.

Today when ordering, noticed that if I wanted to order with the same price, it would be 48gb mem. When bumping up the memory to 64gb, price jumped to 4050 CAD.

So technically, the 48gb mem option introduced a price increase on 64gb ram.

Same. I would probably have bumped the base version to 48 Gb if that had been possible, but the (for me unneeded) CPU bump + RAM bump was so much more that I took a lot more time weighting my memory needs. Then, I went with the 36 Gb version. I am very pleased so far, and think this will work well.

I ended up going for cpu upgrade and 64gb ram and 1tb...I was on the fence about the cpu+ram upgrade (which added 750 CAD to the price) but considering I kept my 2019 mbp for 6 years, it felt not that ig of a deal.

Might be overkill, still have about a week to make up my mind to keep it or return it..
