Has anyone tried to haggle at an Apple store?
There's a prev gen mbp that I was thinking of getting, and it's about $150 cheaper the what the new prev gen in store.
If i buy it online I save half off tax(shop discover).
So even with the free touch for the new one(and if I'd sell it for around $150), I'd still save around $100 w/ the refurb.

Would I be wasting my time or has anyone had success?

Thanks:rolleyes:

I was able to get the Apple store to price match with an on-line vendor. All I did was print out the website page with the price and took it to the apple store. When someone asked if I needed help I just said that I was interested in buying a Mac and asked it they would match the price I had in hand. The sales guy spoke with the manager and he agreed (after checking the site himself to make sure it was accurate). Although I still had to pay the tax, I didn't have to deal with the rebate forms and I was able to get my Macbook right there.
Good luck,
Jeff
