I think one of the reasons there are so many scalpers buying iPhones in U.S. is the price difference of iPhones worldwide. Scalpers send them to friends and family abroad because it's cheaper in U.S.

iPhone 6s 16gb
U.S. $650
UK £539 = $827
GERMANY €739 = $828
AUSTRALIA A$1,079 = $755
CANADA C$899 = $678

New Zealand NZ$1199 = US$654.

I suspect that you're comparing tax-inclusive prices with the US tax-exclusive price.

I think I should add state sales tax that it could be $0 in couple states but on average it's between 4 and 10%

(all 128GB)
USA unlocked USD 849
HKG unlocked HKD 7188 (@7.75=) USD 927
CHN unlocked RMB 6888 (@6.2=) USD 1,110
