My boyfriend's netbook (Asus EePc) accidentally got wet in a backpack due to the San Diego rain and now seems to be non functional. I know that the macbook pro is nearing it's cycle end and will be updated soon. I want to introduce him to the mac however he's on a budget. I was wondering how much the prices of the previous generation (current generation now) of macbook pro will drop. I'm looking specifically at the low end 13-inch MBP. The price of the refurb in apple goes down to $1099. Will the prices be significantly lower than this? thank you

Note: He's a student and qualifies for the apple education pricing

Now way to tell until and if Apple releases an updated MBP.
