Some idle speculations, going on rumors that iPhone 5 will be discontinued.

Base model w/ contract (like you see at store).

iPhone 5S $200
iPhone 5C $100
iPhone 4S $0

IF, the iPhone 5 will continue, then:
iPhone 5S $300
iPhone 5 $200
iPhone 5C $100
iPhone 4S $0
Then it makes sense the rumors of demise of 5 seem true.

A lineup like this:
iPhone 5S $200
iPhone 5C $100
iPhone 5 $0

Does not make much sense with the C rumored to be a low-cost plastic phone, and it will not be same price (edit: as the 5).

5 is gone, for sure.

4S may still be around, but seems pointless.

128GB 5S $399
64GB 5S $299
32GB 5S $199

64GB 5C $199
32GB 5C $99
16GB 5C $0

Here is the dream pricing model that I pray Apple goes with for the iPhone 5S:

32GB - $200
64GB - $300
128 GB - $400

However, knowing Apple (and based on current iPad pricing), we can probably expect something more like this:

16GB - $200
32GB - $300
64GB - $400
128 GB - $500

IMO, this is how it should be:

5s - $200
5 - $100
5c - $0

But that would never happen because there is too much revenue and profit to be made with the 5c, being it is a new product.

4S may still be around, but seems pointless.
I doubt they'll keep the 4S, they probably want to simplify their product line around one connector and one screen size to help devs.

That may be true, but with billions of older style 30-pin based connectors as well as tens of millions of "4" based cases, it has a lot of demand (as seen by some recent data).

Before you say accessories don't count, that is false.
Accessory market is its own ecosystem, and does influence the buying market for iPhone to a degree (and a reason iPhone does incredibly well, older accessories work on newer phones).
Accessories are a lagging industry, but as they catch up to latest phones more switch to new phones.

5s - $200
5 - $100
5c - $0

But that would never happen because there is too much revenue and profit to be made with the 5c, being it is a new product.

Why should the 5 cost more then 5C?
The 5C will have improvements over the 5 even if most of its internals are the same. Very likely a new comm chip, to support more carriers. A plastic case is not really that big a deal.

Here's to hoping, lol....

5C-
only in a 16gb variant...$0 or $99 on Contract

5S-
32gb-$199
64gb-$299
128gb-$399

If the 5C is going to be the "entry/cheap" model, it makes sense to keep that with the basic specs of 16gb. Processor/Camera aren't likely to match the 5S, so why complicate things with a variation of storage sizes? Just keep it the "basic" model.

Hoping the pricing for 5S follows this. If it kept with the current 5 pricing, where 32gb starts at $299, that means the largest capacity model @ 128gb, would be going for $499. Sounds like a bit much. I'm definitely in the market for an iPhone with 128gb at the $399 price point, but not at $499.

UK will probably look like this..

iPhone 5C 16GB - £399 /£429 if it has full LTE
iPhone 5C 32GB - £479/ £499 if it has full LTE

iPhone 5S 16GB - £529
iPhone 5S 32GB - £599
iPhone 5S 64GB - £679
iPhone 5S 128GB -£759

SIM FREE, or no carrier lock.

EDIT: Strong feeling iPhone 5C could start at £369 SIM FREE. But won't have LTE.

iPhone 5C 16GB - £369
iPhone 5C 32GB - £449

You've seen it here first!

I don't think the 5C will be as expensive as that. For some £399 may as well be £529..I reckon it could be £299

Exactly what I have been thinking. I hope you are right.

128GB iPhone and iPod touch will allow Apple to retire the classic. That way the can sell more apps.

Yes and No. To be exact it will be £369 or £449 (16GB or 32GB)

Well I suppose it depends on how much the iPhone 5C will be scaled down.
As we near to the release i'm getting the impression it will be what's in an iPod touch today.

So they'll go with 5 megapixel camera and A5 chip but you will struggle to get SIM FREE iPhone for less than £350. Or else it will cannibalise iPod touch sales.

For the US. Contract free

iPhone 5C 16GB $449
iPhone 5C 32GB $549

iPhone 5S 16GB $649
iPhone 5S 32GB $749
iPhone 5S 64GB $849
iPhone 5S 128GB $949

Makes perfect sense if you look at the numbers.
