All this speculation about upcoming upgrades, including Sandy Bridge is making the money in my pocket red hot.

But one thing I haven't paid attention to is how the upgrades affect the prices on the macbook pros.
I once heard a guy say that they more or less just replace the product in the store and keep the price.
But is this actually the case?

Yes, that's normally how things work. Occasionally the increase or decrease the price slightly. More often the prices change in the non-US stores than the US store as Apple base all their prices off the US$ and they set the prices based on the exchange rate at the time.
