Price war on iphone?

Assuming iphone is coming to verizon, could there be a price war on the iphone itself? The price of used iphones should drop when at+t iphone users jump ship. It will be interesting to see how at+t react next tuesday.

It's already pretty cheap. The 3GS dropped to like $50.

I think the battle will be with service. If AT&T doesn't get aggressive with their data packages, they'll likely lose. I hate Verizon, but I hate limited data plans even more.

+ 1. The cost of the iPhone is nothing and is very competitive. It comes onto the monthly cost.

As well as it should since it lacks front facing camera.

It would be nice if at+t gets a data only plan for cell phones. Its ridiculous that they force you to get a phone plan...

When the iPhone 4 came out in Canada, Rogers discounted it to $159 instead of $199. Eventually so did the other carriers. But I wouldn't call that much of a "price war". Still, you might see a bit of savings on the device itself.
