Hi all, I'm just wondering how everyone is looking at it from a price wise perspective.

From all the rumor plus Apple own website bench mark.

Seems like when comparing M1 Pro vs M1 Max there is a diminishing return from money wise.

M1 Max compare to M1 Pro, M1 max have double the GPU, double media encoder and double the bandwidth. However the difference in performance compared from M1 max to M1 Pro does not have double the performance?

I'm not comparing Ram because M1 Pro also have 32gb ram and those needing 64gb ram will know they need it.

So what do u guys think when u think if spending the money is worth while since the perform is not doubled.

Of course those who can afford and want the best can buy the M1 Max even if there is diminishing return.

Just want to know how everyone else think when u have the money but think if the cost of upgrading from M1 Pro to M1 Max is worth spending because the cost is not too high from your perspective.

Unless you specifically have GPU accelerated workloads I would say it’s not. The increased memory bandwidth might make a difference but the Pro bandwidth is still double what you normally have. The graphics performance if the Pro is still up at 5600M levels which is more than enough for me.
