Hey guys, I've been looking around for an SSD to replace my HDD on my macbook pro 13. The thing is I've heard that SSDs are suppose to be very pricey, even for a small one(128 GB). But on OWC, they are very cheap. 500GB SDDs can go for less than 100. Can someone please explain this to me? I am also not sure which to buy, will any SSD do? Thanks!

No way, check those prices again! OWC probably means they sell SSD UP TO 500 GB with prices STARTING at less than $100. SSD drives are selling for around $0.70 per GB.

^^^ what he said lol.

Average 128gb = $80-$100
Average 240-256gb = $180-$220
