I need to get a new Macbook this summer. Next school year, i'm going to start doing more with video production and i think i would benefit from a rMBP with more horsepower.I'm gonna buy when the back to school discounts start and i can't wait until fall for it to be updated. Heres the specs of the Macbook Air i have

1.8 ghz i5
8gb ram
128 gb
Applecare expires: June 2015

Do you think i could squeeze $1,100 out of this? Theres no cosmetic damage to it at all, i have to original box and papers (apple stickers) and i have a speck case to go with it.

I would say 'yes' but take a look at completed sales on eBay for similar specs. Applecare is a plus and so is the cosmetic condition. Advertise it on Craigslist and your local university bulletin boards as other students will be looking for an ultralight productivity machine like this.
