Unless you don't like the earplug design, the 4 with ANC vs the Pro for $11 more makes the 4's price point seem odd.

Ordered AirPods Max at $449 this afternoon and contacted them when I saw the price had dropped to $399. They had me order a second pair and return the first rather than credit me the difference. That seems efficient.

Amazon had all colors of the AirPods Max at $399 for a bit, probably to match the Walmart sale going on, then reverted it for some reason. As of right now, Walmart still has them at $399.

if anyone has a Time Machine then I might share the deal I got on AirPods Max with 2 yr apple care to boot. Need proof first.

Are these nice? I actually haven't opened mine. I've had them sitting in the closet since last October.

Part of me was waiting for my kid to go to college so he doesn't steal them once I open them. What I really mean is he doesn't get jealous. I got him some Sony Xm5's for xmas that he wanted and he loves them. But afraid he might change his mind once he saw me in action. So I waited past xmas and then said I might as well wait until August when he's off.

The other part of me was thinking I should just resell them. Especially when I bought a Switch 2 recently. I'm not one to spend too much money.

Also I started using my AirPods again despite thinking repeated use pushes ear wax back into my ears and plugs them and is one reason why I had to hit the doctor (2x so far) so they could suck the ear wax back out.

I was also thinking do I want to have these closed phones on my head while watching the tube late at night? I should probably be able to hear to some degree. Always liked open for that reason.

Maybe I should get some new open ones. I always liked my old Sennheisers. Maybe I should get some sort of optical in DAC/headphone amp for my tv to connect wired open Sennheisers.

At the same time I thinking my head would be crushed by the grip and weight of the AirPods Max. And that didn't sound appealing.

After reading about the Ukrainians using fiber optic drones ...drones controller thru km's of fiber optic cable ....it made me nostalgic for cords. Game controllers with cords. Headphones with cords. EarPods instead of AirPods. The cord is under estimated and under appreciated.

I should go all cords.

89 usd for the AirPods 4, that’s 75 euros. Yea I know the us adds on some minuscule sales tax but still. Even worse with the ANC version

I pulled the trigger last night on the AirPods Max at $449. Amazon was kind enough to give me a $20 credit, but I almost returned them and got the $399 price at Walmart. I'll chalk it up to 'wait until the actual prime day, dummy!'

I contacted Amazon. Had to reorder the Maxes at $399 and will return the $449 set. I see they are $429 today. Crazy the $399 price was so shortlived. Who knows though with Prime Deals through 7/11 if they’ll yo-yo some more.

Funny for as frugal cheap as the Dutch are we overpay for just about everything and folks seem to love it. 🤷‍♂️

I had put the $159 AP Pro2 in my cart, but then it disappeared. I've been holding out for the AP Pro3.
But at $149, I had to go for the AP Pro2. Got them this morning overnight shipping.

Have 15 days to return in case AP Pro3 get announced in the next two weeks.

After many years of equivocating on whether it makes sense for me to even get any flavor of Airpods, I finally relented & ordered the Airpods Pro 2. I'm a weirdo in that I'll pretty much never use these with my iPhone. My use is for occasional Youtube, Netflix, podcasts, etc. consumption on my Macbook Pro. I've hesitated buying them because my usage would be so limited, but at this price I finally caved.
