I have a question about Adobe Illustrator CS2 Im printing Graphics I designed in Illustrator.

On a Avery Clear matt or semi gloss paper with a self adhesive backing Im making decals on my Ink jet printer Epson stylus CX4800 for my R/C remote comtrol race car Bodies.

The problem Im having is that the colors dont match up to the colors on the monitor when I print out a sheet on the Avery Paper the colors come out slightly different blue is close to a purple color the red med blue and black come out kind of a light color.

I heard that you are not supposed to print directly from Illustrator Is there any way to do this or do I need to save it in Illustrator and then open it in another program.

Or is there any way to fix it where I can get the colors to match better
any help would be greatky appreciated

try using pantones, and calibrating your monitor. there might be a clour match option in the settings..
